The National Quality Inspection Bureau of China and the National Standardization Management Committee issued a revised edition of the revised formaldehyde release limit (GB18580-2017) for indoor decoration materials and its products, which began to be implemented in May 1, 2018. In the new standard, the requirements for the release limit of formaldehyde are raised, the limit value of formaldehyde release is 0.124 mg/m3, the limit mark E1, the E2 grade of the original standard is cancelled, and the unified formaldehyde test method is "1m3 climate box method". Experts said that the revised new standards enhance product standard requirements and further change the industry structure.
